WASHINGTON — Far-right activist Laura Loomer, a staunch Donald Trump supporter known for her conspiracy theories and loyalty to the MAGA movement, has publicly warned the president against pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted sex trafficker serving a 20-year sentence for her role in Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse ring.
Loomer’s stark rebuke marks a rare fracture in her unwavering allegiance to Trump, coming after the president left the door open to clemency during a White House press conference.
The split erupted on Monday when Trump, responding to CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, equivocated on the pardon question.
“Who are we talking about? You know, I haven’t heard the name in so long. I can say this, that I’d have to take a look at it. I would have to take a look,” Trump said.
After learning Maxwell’s Supreme Court appeal had been denied that day, he added, “I see. Well, I’ll take a look at it. I wouldn’t consider it or not consider it. I don’t know anything about it. I will speak to the DOJ.”
Loomer fired back on X, tagging Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Attorney General Pam Bondi: “I strongly advise AGAINST anyone lobbying the Trump admin and the DOJ to Pardon Ghislaine Maxwell. Do not do it. I repeat. Do not do it. There will be no coming back from that. I repeat again. For the love of God. Do Not Do It.”
Trump’s Connection to Maxwell and Epstein

Her plea reflects growing unease among some MAGA figures over Trump’s ties to Epstein; a former friend he once called a “terrific guy” in 2002 for liking “beautiful women… on the younger side.”
Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate, was convicted in 2021 for recruiting and grooming underage girls for sexual abuse.
She’s serving her sentence in a minimum-security facility in Texas after a secretive two-day interview with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche—Trump’s former personal lawyer—in which she claimed she never saw Trump act inappropriately.
The DOJ has repeatedly denied the existence of an Epstein “client list,” closing the case in June and ruling his 2019 death a suicide, moves that have irked figures like Loomer, alongside both Democrats and Republicans.
Loomer’s opposition is a departure from her history of defending Trump through scandals, including her role as a “loyalty enforcer” who has scrutinized administration officials for disloyalty.
She’s previously clashed with fellow MAGA Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene over Epstein file transparency but has largely stayed in Trump’s corner.
Her warning underscores the political backlash of a pardon, especially as Trump has refused to rule it out amid bipartisan pushes for file releases.
Trump’s team has not commented on Loomer’s post or the pardon speculation.
As the Epstein saga lingers with congressional probes looming, Loomer’s stance highlights fractures in MAGA ranks, where even die-hard allies draw lines at protecting convicted traffickers.
If anything is clear, it’s that the Epstein files might just bring everyone to look at the Trump Administration, together.
