- SEC accused of protecting Wall Street while defrauding at least 65,000 retail investors in the MMTLP U3 halt.
- Protesters demand full disclosure of communications between SEC, FINRA, market makers, and broker dealers.
- Retail investors warn regulators face intense scrutiny and risk unprecedented public consequences if they ignore accountability.
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is now being exposed as a corrupt agency amid amplified scrutiny in the MMTLP case.
Retail investors affected by FINRA’s U3 halt in December 2022 organized a press conference outside SEC headquarters in Washington D.C. on January 12.
The event demands transparency, accountability, and enforcement action after agencies defrauded at least 65,000 investors.
Organizers are calling for public disclosure of communications between the SEC, FINRA, market makers, and broker-dealers related to MMTLP, plus restoration of lawful remedies for shareholders.
American Made Action co-founder Ann Vandersteel led the event.
Words Retail Investors Are Too Familiar With

In a press release published on January 6, Vandersteel states, “This was not a market driven outcome,” said Ann Vandersteel.
“It was regulator driven. Wall Street firms were protected. Retail investors were not. That is not a free market. That is government intervention on behalf of financial institutions.”
Her statements resonates with what retail investors have been saying for years — most recently since the meme stock frenzy of 21′.
The bold actions retail investors have undertaken in the past years regarding MMTLP have been bold and courageous.
While answers remain hidden, one thing is certain; U.S. regulators are facing intense scrutiny they can no longer hide from.
Investors are demanding answers to an event that may arguably be bigger than that of GameStop and AMC’s injustices.
The corruption, however, affects retail investors across every ticker.
Will U.S. agencies act now, or will they continue to turn the cheek, birthing unprecedented consequences from the public?
