Trump Admin Defending ICE Is A Major Red Flag in Latest Killing

Renee Nicole Good Murdered by ICE
Summary
  • Trump administration's defense of ICE after Renee Good's killing signals tribal loyalty protecting agents over accountability.
  • Evidence and videos contradict self-defense claims, fueling national outrage and fears of autocratic erosion.
  • Targeted recruitment and lack of oversight show ICE overreach threatens all Americans regardless of party.

The Trump administration defending ICE in its latest killing of a mother of three is a major red flag in America, highlighting signs of autocracy leaking through the cracks today.

Renee Good was shot in Minneapolis, Minnesota only a week ago but her story is only compounding, fueling Americans to question how the administration plans to hold ICE agent Jonathan Rose accountable.

According to CBS News, Renee Nicole Good had just dropped off here 6-year-old child at school prior to encountering ICE agents.

She was legally observing ICE activities when she had a dispute with agents.

To deescalate tensions, Good drove away turning her wheels away from agents only to get shot multiple times, killing the 37-year-old Colorado native mother of three who had just moved into the city.

Her killing has sparked national outcry.

Tribal Loyalty Protects ICE Agent Jonathan Ross

ICE agent Jonathan Ross

Not only has tribal loyalty within the Trump administration led to the protection of ICE agent Jonathan Ross, but it has further encouraged hate by extremists.

The United States has gone as far as to calling Good a ‘domestic terrorist’ — that’s right, a mother of three who had just dropped off their child at school a ‘domestic terrorist’ for speaking her mind about ICE activity in her local region.

Videos captured Ross calling Good a “f—ing bitch” immediately after the shooting.

Despite videos showing Good turn her tires to escape escalating tensions with the ICE agent, DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin has defended Ross’s claims of ‘self-defense’.

Rather than showing the American people how to take accountability, the U.S. government demonstrated tribal loyalty at works again, especially when it comes to immigration.

This is a major red flag because it means that no matter how wrong one person in a specific department can be, the majority of its group (and leader) will defend them no matter the circumstance.

This is how democracy in America begins to erode.

Was It Hate Crime?

What’s interesting about this story is that ICE did not have a run-in with your typical laborer at a Home Depot parking lot, but rather with a Caucasian woman born in the U.S. who expressed her freedom of speech after dropping her child off at school.

LGBTQ communities have concerns about the couple, Renne and Becca Good possibly being targeted by the ICE agent, most of whom are conservative individuals.

For example, recruitments were advertised as a “wartime recruitment” blitz aimed at gun enthusiasts, military fans, and conservative audiences.

Ads were tailored to hit specific groups of people too, showcasing at gun shows, military bases, and placements on conservative podcasts.

No Democrat or Republican is Safe

See, this story isn’t about LGBTQ or about national security, or about sending illegal immigrants back to their country of origin.

It’s about the overreach of ICE agents and lack of accountability imposed on them the United States government.

In 2025, Trump’s top migrant commander Gregory Bovino admitted to lying to a court and fabricating a story to excuse his use of tear gas in neighborhoods, which affected bystanders including children.

His power trip was exposed in a court following the department’s failure to provide proof through body cams when he alleged the incident was started by a citizen throwing a rock at his head.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem praised and defended Bovino all the way through.

If the United States isn’t willing to uphold its leadership under accountability, it doesn’t matter whether you’re a Democrat or Republican, or liberal or conservative, or anywhere in between.

Because at this point, unless Americans begin to demand for justice, we’re fucked.
